CanadaHelps is pleased to release their new, personal fundraising product: GivingPages. These micro-websites will give you the ability to give to the The Conter Memorial Trust. Use GivingPages to celebrate your wedding, anniversary, birthday, graduation, the birth of a baby, a sporting event, or to celebrate the life of a loved one or friend who has passed on.

In 2006, the federal government eliminated capital gains tax on donations of publicly traded securities (stocks & mutual funds). Donations of securities let you make a greater impact with your donation and receive a larger tax benefit.
Donate securities to The Tema Conter Memorial Trust through CanadaHelps. CanadaHelps lets you:

- Receive your donation receipt by email
Giving securities through CanadaHelps is quick, easy and secure. Here’s how it works:
1.Search for The Tema Conter Memorial Trust and complete the details of you pledge.
2.Print & submit the Letter of Authorization to your financial advisor.
3.Securities are transferred to CanadaHelps by your financial advisor.
4.CanadaHelps sends you a tax receipt.
5.Securities are sold and the donation is forwarded to The Tema Conter Memorial Trust
Through the Matching Gift Program, you can make your gift to The Tema Conter Memorial Trust go even farther
Hundreds of companies in Canada will match donations made by their employees to charitable organizations. Companies will match donations 1:1 or 2:1 and sometimes the match can be as high as 3:1.
To find out whether your company has a matching gift program, please click here. If you don’t see your company listed, you should contact your human resources department. Likewise, if your company has a matching gift program, and is not on this list, please let us know.
Your Human Resources Department will provide you the required forms. Once you have done that, the process is simple:
- Complete the form and mail it along with your gift to the The Tema Conter Memorial Trust..
- We will indicate on the form that the gift has been received and will return the form to your company.
- Your company will verify your eligibility and send a cheque to us for the matched amount.
- An official tax receipt for your gift will be mailed to you and once we receive your employer's matching gift, they will receive a receipt for their gift.
