Emergency services and military personnel, industry associates, business professionals and educators are invited to submit educational presentation proposals for the Tema Conter Memorial Trust Educational Conferences to be held across Canada during 2011.
These conferences are an educational and networking events attended by emergency, military and public safety decision-makers, frontline operations personnel, instructors and associates from across North America.
Speakers gain valuable exposure in addition to making an important contribution to emergency and military professions.
The conference themes will deal with the psychological stressors of acute, cumulative and post traumatic stress disorder. There will be four educational tracks:
- Effects of these psychological stressors on the members of our emergency and military communities - and their families;
- Leadership & Management
- Training
- Technology
We are looking for fresh and innovative ideas that are relevant to all attendees.
Speaker Registration
The primary speaker of the presentation will receive two full conference registrations, which include entrance to the Exhibit Hall & Trade Show, all conference and complimentary tickets to the Welcome Receptionand Dinner.
While the conference committee is pleased to provide you with the above concessions, all presenters are responsible for their own travel related expenses, including hotel accommodations.
Call for Presentations
One hour is allotted per session (approximately 45 minutes for the presentation and 15 minutes for questions) however consideration may be given for an extended time slot based on the interest in the proposed topic and the ability to provide a high-quality session.

Presentation Criteria:
- Educational track (as outlined above)
- Presentation title (maximum 10 words)
- Presentation format (classroom, roundtable, panel, etc.)
- Target Audience
- Brief description of presentation (approximately 100 words)
- Learning objectives (minimum 2, maximum 4)
- Audio and/or visual requirements – be specific as possible (please note that presenters will be responsible for the cost of these requirements if not specified with proposal submission)
- Date & place topic was last presented or being presented prior to the conference
